The CSR 3 series 1225-chip-size, thick-film resistors extend resistance values on the lower end to 3 milliOhms. Employing a reverse geometry when compared to other chips of similar size, terminations are on the long dimension instead of the short. This approach allows for lower resistance values and greater current handling than standard 2512-size, thick-film current-sense resistors. Additionally, the wider terminations also help dissipate additional heat generated by the higher current and wattage. Overall features include resistance values from 3 to 200 milliOhms, tolerances of 1% and 5%, a typical inductance of less than 0.2 nH, TCRs of 200 ppm or better, and RoHS compliance. Available in 2,000-pieces quantities on standard 7" reels, typical pricing for the CSR 3 components ranges from $0.12 to $0.25 each in minimum quantities. STACKPOLE ELECTRONICS INC., Raleigh, NC.
