Current-Sensing Resistor Hoists Load-Life Stability

Feb. 24, 2011
The CSM3637Z Bulk Metal Foil surface-mount, Power Metal Strip current-sensing resistor specifies a load-life stability of ±0.2% at +70°C for 2,000 hours at rated power.

The CSM3637Z Bulk Metal Foil surface-mount, Power Metal Strip current-sensing resistor specifies a load-life stability of ±0.2% at +70°C for 2,000 hours at rated power. This translates into a significant improvement of ≥1% over comparable components. The resistor also features an absolute TCR of ±5 ppm/°C maximum from -55°C to +125 C at a +25°C reference, and a tolerance of ±0.1%. The result of proprietary processing techniques, it is available in low resistance values of 3 mΩ to 50 mΩ. Pricing for the CSM3637Z starts at $6.32 each. VISHAY INTERTECHNOLOGY, INC., Malvern, PA.
