Current Sensing Resistors Keep TCR Low

Feb. 1, 2011
Vishay’s latest Bulk Metal Foil power current sensing resistors exhibit a TCR of ±0.05 ppm/°C from 0°C to +60°C and ±0.2 ppm/°C from -55°C to +125°C at a +25°C reference.

Vishay’s latest Bulk Metal Foil power current sensing resistors exhibit a TCR of ±0.05 ppm/°C from 0°C to +60°C and ±0.2 ppm/°C from -55°C to +125°C at a +25°C reference. Tolerance is ±0.01. The VPR5Z offers a power rating of 5W at +25ºC while the VPR7Z handles 7W and both specify a load life stability of ±0.01% at 70 °C for 2,000 hours at rated power. Other shared features include a resistance range from 5Ω to 100 kΩ and a four-terminal construction. Pricing starts at $14.97 each. VISHAY INTERTECHNOLOGY, INC., Malvern, PA. (619) 336-0860.
