A new surface-mount inductor, the Coiltronics Flat Pac 4, is rated for a maximum total temperature range up to +155°C and employs a gapped ferrite core for optimum efficiency at very high switching frequencies. It is designed for high-speed, high current switch mode applications, such as VRMs used to power microprocessors and servers, and high-frequency, high-current power supplies. A low DCR of 6.5 m? maximum yields low DC losses. Inductance values range from 100 to 200 µH, with peak current ratings of up to 64A. Tape and reel packaging is standard.
