A new air-core chip inductor designed with a height of 0.7 mm is useful for high-frequency, low-voltage applications. The KQC 0603 has a nominal inductance range from 1.2 to 27 nH with inductance tolerance at ±5%. Its dc resistance ranges from 0.020? to 0.120? with an allowable dc current of 1.00A to 2.25A. The part is designed with a black body color with no markings and is suitable for reflow soldering. It comes in 4 mm pitch embossed plastic with 2,000 pieces per reel. Applications in the telecommunications industry include high-frequency circuits, movable wireless equipment, power amplifiers and mobile phones. Lab kits are readily available and production orders take from eight to 10 weeks. KOA SPEER ELECTRONICS INC., Bradford, PA. (814) 362-5536.
