State of the Art’s (SOTA) Z termination line of miniature, high-reliability chip resistors feature a thin-film surface and wraparound design. Z termination is a gold-over-nickel finish that can be attached with solder, conductive epoxy, or gold wire bonds. In terms of reliability, users can select from a variety of testing options—standard product, MIL-PRF-3352 established reliability (R or S level), or space level MIL-PRF-3352 “T” product level. The resistors range in size from 0402 (0.040 by 0.020 in.) to 2512 (0.025 by 0.025 in.). Tolerances range from 0.1%, and power ratings from 50 to 1500 mW. Temperature coefficients of resistance drop to as low as 25 ppm, and voltage ratings range from 30 to 200 V. Operating temperature ranges from -55 to +125°C. Applications include medical electronics, defense systems, microwave communications, aerospace electronics, and satellite systems.
