MLCCs With Base Metal Electrodes Sports 500V Rating

May 7, 2010
The GQM22 series monolithic ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) lay claim to being the world's first 500V, high-Q MLCCs with base metal electrodes.

The GQM22 series monolithic ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) lay claim to being the world's first 500V, high-Q MLCCs with base metal electrodes. The capacitors do not require characteristic adjustments, an issue reportedly common with other base metal electrode high voltage capacitors. Other features include a 2.8 mm x 2.8 mm x 1.15 mm profile, capacitance values ranging from 0.5 pF to 100 pF, and tolerances of ±0.1pF (B) and ±0.25pF (C). Sample pricing for the GQM22 series is approximately $0.35 to $1.11 each depending on the part number. MURATA ELECTRONICS NORTH AMERICA INC., Smyrna, GA. (770) 436-1300.
