To reduce overheating during process assembly, the company's family of 12.7-mm rotary potentiometers now includes components with solder-lug leads. The Model P261 side-adjust potentiometer features up to six gangs and is available in potentiometer, rotary switch, and detent modules. According to the company, solder-lug leads facilitate consistent and reliable solder joints while improving efficiency and preventing solder from overheating. Elliptical holes on the leads measure 1.8 mm x 1 mm and fit wire sizes from AWG 20 to AWG 40. The Model P260 and Model P261 feature a conductive plastic element and specify a rotational life of 1,000,000 cycles. Resistance ranges from 500 Ohms to 1 MegaOhm with power ratings of 0.25W and 0.5W. Standard tolerance is to ±10% with a maximum input voltage of 350 Vac and a dielectric strength of 1.5 kVac. Operating temperature ranges from -55°C to +125°C. BI TECHNOLOGIES, Fullerton, CA. (714) 447-2345.
