This new line of surface-mount power chokes measure only 3.3 mm to 8 mm in height and are said to be well-suited for use in small power conditioner and filtering applications. They can be provided in shielded (CSS series) or unshielded (CSN series) styles and in inductance and current ratings ranging from 0.78 µH at 15A to 1,000 µH at 0.4A. The tape-and-reel packaged chokes cost $0.50 each/10,000.
