A new series of Type X2 capacitors for suppressing and filtering interference and noise present in household appliances, audio and TV circuits, power supplies, and other products has earned safety approvals for markets in the U.S., Canada and eight other countries. Employing plastic, plain retardant resin cases that meet UL-94VO specs, Series HQX capacitors are said to offer excellent attenuation, low ESR, and self-healing properties. The interference suppression and filtering caps span a 0.01 to 1.0 µF range of capacities at voltage ratings of 250/275 vac, with lower capacitance ratings available on request. The devices have radial leads with 10 to 27.5 mm lead spacing.
