Said to possess superior electrical characteristics, the TPS Series III tantalum chip capacitors have been developed to provide design engineers with low ESR, wide voltage range, excellent stability and high reliability at a low cost. The series utilizes MnO2 technology in conjunction with a tantalum dielectric to fulfill the requriements of switch-mode power supply, microprocessor and digital circuit applications.Featuring ESR values as low as 40 mW, claimed as the lowest in the industry, theTPS capacitors offer ripple current values as high as 2.5 Arms. Series voltage ranges from 4V to 50V, with a maximum capacitance value of 1,000 mF. Standard capacitance tolerances are ±10% and ±20%, with operating temperatures ranging from -55¡C to +125¡C. Typical pricing for the TPS Series III tantalum capacitors ranges from $0.50 to $2.50 each/100,000, with lead times from stock to six weeks and samples available immediately.
