Announced as a new option for the company's multi-turn trimmer capacitors, users can request a specific capacitance setting when placing their order. The parts can be used as replacements for fixed capacitors, yet retain the option to tune at some later time if the circuit experiences drift due to aging crystals or other components. It is claimed that by having the capacitor set near the user's normal required value, technician time is reduced in performing the tuning operation. Long-term stability of these devices is also said to be the same as fixed capacitors. Pricing for the new capacitors is from $0.10 to $0.20 each, depending on specifications, and delivery time can be one extra week, depending on quantity.
