Extending the PowerBurst Series ultracapacitors, the ultra-low profile PBF Series modules perform short-term burst and back-up power chores in space-constrained applications. The modules employ stainless steel, hermetically sealed prismatic cells and sport a maximum profile of 5.7 mm. Capacitance values range from 1F to 5F and voltage ratings span 5 Vdc through 10 Vdc. The modules offer over 500,000 duty cycles and a 10-year life capability. PBF modules are available in six sizes ranging from 48 mm x 5.7 mm x 20 mm to 96 mm x 5.7 mm x 35 mm with ESRs of from 0.36 to 1.60 Ohms, a capacitance tolerance of ±20%, and an operating temperature range from -40?C to +70?C. Prices range from $9.50 to $20 each/100. TECATE INDUSTRIES, San Diego, CA. (619) 398-9750.
