Sculpted for precision and ultra-precision applications, the PFC series voltage-divider chips are available with either tantalum nitride (TaNFilm) technology for precision performance or tantalum ultride technology for ultra-precision and high stability circuits. Both versions come in 1206 packages, which are compatible with automatic placement equipment. The TaNFilm divider suits deployment in battery monitoring circuits, voltage references, voltage regulators, logic-level converters, and dc/dc converters. For high-stability applications including medical CT, MRI, PET, and ultrasound equipment, the tantalum ultride components fit the bill. The TaNFilm divider specifies a resistance range from 10W to 150 kW with a package power rating of 250 mW, maximum voltage rating of 100V, absolute TCRs to ±25 ppm/°C, and TCR tracking to ±5 ppm/°C. Operating temperature range is -65°C to +150°C. The tantalum ultride components offer a resistance range from 1 kW to 50 kW, power rating of 50 mW, absolute TCRs to ±10 ppm/°C, TCR tracking to ±1 ppm/°C, and an absolute tolerance to ±0.02%. Ratio stability at 70°C ambient is better than 50ppm over 1,000 hours at 50 mW. Operating temperature range is from -55°C to +125°C. Pricing starts at $0.78 each/1,000. IRC INC., Boone, NC.
