100-W Baseplate-Cooled AC-DC Supply Has 17-mm Profile

Oct. 23, 2013
Meeting the needs of space-constrained/noise-restricted ITE, telecommunications, and industrial applications that limit the use of fans, CUI’s 100-W baseplate-cooled ac-dc power supply features an ultra-low profile of 17 mm in an encapsulated board-mount package.

Meeting the needs of space-constrained/noise-restricted ITE, telecommunications, and industrial applications that limit the use of fans, CUI’s 100-W baseplate-cooled ac-dc power supply features an ultra-low profile of 17 mm in an encapsulated board-mount package. The VBM-100 series supply comes with a choice of six output voltages—12, 15, 24, 28, 36, 48 V dc—with a voltage accuracy of ±1% at 25°C. Custom voltages are available on request. Universal input range spans from 90 to 264 V ac. Active power-factor correction meets EN61000-3-2 Class D standards. The power supply offers no-load power consumption of less than 0.5 W, and runs at efficiencies up to 92%. Operating temperature ranges between −20 to 85°C. It provides overvoltage, short-circuit, and overtemperature protection.
