148W Open-Frame Supply Meets Medical/Industrial Safety Standards

Oct. 8, 2008
Complying with the electrical safety standards of both IEC 60601-1/EN 60601-1 for medical equipment and IEC 60950-1 / EN 60950-1 for industrial and IT equipment, the ECM140 series open-frame, single-output ac/dc power supplies measure 76.2 mm x 127 mm

Complying with the electrical safety standards of both IEC 60601-1/EN 60601-1 for medical equipment and IEC 60950-1 / EN 60950-1 for industrial and IT equipment, the ECM140 series open-frame, single-output ac/dc power supplies measure 76.2 mm x 127 mm x 33 mm and deliver up to 148W with 10 cfm of forced air-cooling. If convection cooled, the supplies provide up to 120W of output. Each of the five supplies in the series includes a 12V/0.5A fan output, remote sense, and, depending on the model, outputs of 12, 15, 18, 24, or 48 Vdc. Via a resonant topology, the units typically achieve 88% efficiency above 70W with a reportedly flat efficiency curve. All models are also available with an options package that includes a 5V standby supply output, power OK, and dual-polarity inhibit signals. Available from stock, price for the ECM140 is $77.22 each in OEM quantities. For further information, call Duane Darrow at XP POWER, Sunnyvale, CA. (408) 732-7777.
