The TSR-1 Series 1A switching regulators perform as drop-in replacements for inefficient 78XX series linear regulators. Consisting of nine models, the series offers input-voltages ranging from 4.75 to 32 Vdc and output voltages from 1.5 to 15 Vdc at 1A. With efficiencies up to 96%, the regulators deliver full-load operation up to +60°C ambient without the need for a heat sink or forced cooling. According to the company, TSR-1 switching regulators provide significant advantages over linear regulators including better output accuracies, lower stand-by currents, and no need for external capacitors. Pricing starts at $5.50 each/1,000. POWERGATE LLC, Santa Clara, CA. (866) 588-1750.
