In a 1U-high u-frame package measuring 3.2" x 5" x 1.5" and in a metal-enclosed version with fan measuring 3.2" x 5" x 2", the VF-S150 series switching power supplies are capable of delivering up to 150W maximum with 16 cfm of forced-air cooling. This translates into a power density of 6.25 W/in3. Additionally, the supplies are able to provide up to 600W of peak power for 500 ms. Each supply in the series includes power-factor correction meeting EN61000-3-2 class A requirements. Voltage outputs range from 3.3 to 48 Vdc across six single-output models. The units produce full output power from 0°C to 50°C with power derating linearly from 50°C to 70°C, at which point the units still produce 50% output at 70°C. Other features include remote on/off, over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, and short-circuit protection. Safety approvals include UL, cUL, TUV, CE, and CB. Pricing starts at $50 each in OEM quantities. V-INFINITY LLC, Beaverton, OR. (866) 372-1258.
