Available in a 2" x 2" package more common to 15W to 20W devices, the A-Series, UWR dc/dc converters deliver output power from 26W to 40W. Depending on the model, they offer input-voltage ranges of 10V to 18V, 18V to 36V, and 36V to 75V with outputs

Available in a 2" x 2" package more common to 15W to 20W devices, the A-Series, UWR dc/dc converters deliver output power from 26W to 40W. Depending on the model, they offer input-voltage ranges of 10V to 18V, 18V to 36V, and 36V to 75V with outputs of 3.3V at 8A and 9A and 5V at 7A and 8A. A fully synchronous, 300 to 360 kHz forward topology is responsibile for this increase of power-to-size ratio, as well as efficiencies of 90% at 5V out. Other features include noise figures of 75 mVp-p, line/load regulation of ±0.5% maximum, a step response of 200 µs, stable no-load operation, and no output reverse conduction. All converters in the series are isolated to 1.5 kV and provide I/O protection including pi filters, input overvoltage shutdown, undervoltage lockout, output overvoltage, short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown. And each model comes with a VOUT trim pin and an on/off function that can be specified with either positive or negative polarity. Quantity pricing is $43 each/1,000. DATEL INC., Mansfield, MA.
