For use with firm's 2nd Generation 48V input dc-to-dc converters are the FiltMOD filter module and the VI-IAM2 second generation input attenuator module. The former provides common-mode and differential-mode filtering, while the latter provides inrush current limiting, input transient and surge protection. Both modules come in packages with dimensions of 2.28" x 1.45" x 0.5" and can be wave soldered, socketed or surface mounted. The VI-IAM2, when used alone with a 2nd Generation converter, can accommodate a maximum of 75 vdc input (100 vdc for 100 ms) and comes in 10A and 20A versions.
