Housed in a low-profile case measuring just 11" x 5" x 1.6", the PowerCassete multi-output switching power supply employs an unique cellular, rather than modular, architecture. This configuration is said to permit quick factory programming of its outputs to meet any user requirements. The supply provides up to six outputs ranging from 1.2 to 24 Vdc, including a 5 Vdc/1A independent standby output, and offers a maximum continuous power of 600W. The case is cooled by integral ball-bearing fans. Other features include a single input/output connector for hot-swap applications, output ORing diodes, single-wire current sharing, power-factor correction, Class B EMI input filter, remote sensing, adjustable outputs, and no minimum load requirements. An optional I2C bus is available for real-time monitoring of output voltages and current, as well as temperature and fan speeds. This option interfaces to the host system through an available 1U, 1+1 redundant rack or directly from the output connector on the power supply. Price in OEM quantities is as low as $399 each, with delivery times from five to 10 days for prototype quantities and eight to 10 weeks for production quantities.
