Expanding the PFE series AC/DC power bricks, the PFE1000F modules provide an output power up to 1,008W. The components combine rectification, power-factor correction, dc-to-dc isolation, and low-voltage conversion functions into a single brick measuring 3.94” x 0.53” x 6.3”, thereby eliminating module interconnects and saving 25% or more in PCB space. Models are available nominal outputs of 12V, 28V, and 48V, adjustable by ±20%. Other features include a baseplate operating temperature range from -40?C to +100°C, line and load regulation of 0.4%, an efficiency in the range of 82% to 86% depending on output voltage, an ac-input from 85V to 265V at 47 Hz to 63 Hz, active PFC, an input-to-output isolation of 3 kVac, input-to-baseplate rating of 2.5 kVac with application circuitry, and over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature protections. Prices start at $430 each/100 piece quantities. TDK-LAMBDA, San Diego, CA. (800) 526-2324.
