PCB or chassis mountable, the 10W ECL10 and 15W ECL15 series ad/dc power supplies lay claim to being the smallest such components on the market. The ECL10 open-frame, PCB-mount unit, embarking as the smallest of the offerings, measures 25.4 mm x 50.8 mm x 22.8 mm and exhibits a power density of 5.6W per cubic inch. Both series are available in three mechanical formats: open-frame PCB mount, encapsulated PCB mount, and open-frame chassis mount. They are available with single output voltages of 3.3, 5, 9, 12, 15, 24, and 48 Vdc and deliver full power across their entire input ranges of 85 to 264 Vac or 120 to 370 Vdc. The units operate over temperatures from -20°C to +70°C with derating above 50°C and at full power with convection cooling. Peak load capability is 130% of nominal for up to 30 seconds. Price for the ECL10 starts at $19.50 each/1,000. For further information, contact Duane Darrow at XP POWER, Littleton, MA. (978) 287-7260.
