Combining 0.99 power factor correction (PFC) with low cost, the Model PFC250 is the firm's latest addition to its PFC Series of power factor-corrected switchers. The compact 250W switch-mode power supply provides a power factor-corrected input with one main and three auxiliary outputs from 2V to 48V. In addition to the main output, for which there are nine voltages to choose from, three fully isolated auxiliary outputs may be selected from 5, 12, 15, 24, 28, 36, or 48 vdc. Auxiliary output No. 1 also offers 3.3 vdc operation, and all four outputs are floating. The unit corrects the input current waveform to 0.99 power factor at the supply's full rated load at 115 vac. Measuring just 9" x 5" x 2" and weighing just 3.125 lbs., the switcher meets a number of U.S. and Euro certifications.
