Designed for ground mobile, man portable and other hi-rel applications, the NL series of dc-to-dc converters is available in 50W, 100W and 150W models and is capable of operating at full specs over a -55°C to 100°C temperature range. The new converters stand only 0.38" high, have a 1.5" x 3.0" footprint, and can be ordered with single, dual or triple outputs. They can accept from 9 to 18 vdc and can deliver 2, 3.3, 5, 5.2, 12 and 15 vdc. And a 200-kHz, fixed-frequency switching topology is said to yield excellent efficiency ratings (i.e., 89% typ.), while excellent loop stability is said to ensure stable operation under a variety of load conditions. Standard features include remote sensors, output voltage trimming, single pin parallel operation, synchronization, and an output voltage BITE symbol. Prices start at $300 each in modest quantities.
