Claimed as a low-cost, high-performance dc/dc converter, the AEQ15 has a full power operating efficiency just shy of 90% and capacity to deliver a full 60W of clean and well regulated output power to its loads. Built in an industry standard quarter brick package, the converter is suitable for all industrial and telecommunications applications and is especially suited for DDRI and DDRII memory applications, the company says. A dual output device, the converter has an input voltage range of 36 to 75 Vdc. Features of the AEQ15 include: open frame, low profile design; high capacitive load limit on start-up; regulation to zero load; completely independent output stages, with each stage programmable from 0.5V to 5V at 15A; up to 15A per channel simultaneously; individual enable on each output for sequencing; positive sense for low Vout applications on each output; basic insulation of 1,500 Vdc; and backdrive voltage up to 6V.
