The model 70Q5.12SR 30W quad output dc/dc converter has an input range of 40 to 120 Vdc and outputs of 5, 5, 12 and 12 Vdc. The outputs are isolated from the input and from output to output. The latter allows the connection of outputs in series to obtain higher output voltages, for example, 10 Vout or 24 Vout. Outputs can also be paralleled for increased output current. In general, the 5V and 12V outputs can be used in a variety of configurations for maximum flexibility. The converter is housed in a unique aluminum cast case with a built-in heatsink for improved thermal performance. Case size is 3" x 2.5" x 0.6"H. With the integrated heat sink, thermal impedance is only 3.8°C case temperature rise per watt dissipated, making the unit useful for thermally challenging environments. Operating range for the case temperature is –40°C to +100°C. Pricing is $83.30 each/1,000. CALEX MFG. CO. INC., Concord, CA. (800) 542-3355.
