DC/DC Converters Address High-Voltage Apps

April 6, 2004
Operating with a 2:1 input voltage range, a new family of 150W dc/dc converters accepts input voltages of 12V, 24V, or 48V and provides single, regulated outputs of 48V at 3A or 75V at 2A with an adjustable range of ±5%. Custom input and output

Operating with a 2:1 input voltage range, a new family of 150W dc/dc converters accepts input voltages of 12V, 24V, or 48V and provides single, regulated outputs of 48V at 3A or 75V at 2A with an adjustable range of ±5%. Custom input and output voltage combinations are available upon request. They can also be used in applications where a bipolar ±24V or ±37.5V is required. The converters feature efficiencies up to 90%, 2 kVdc of input-to-output isolation, input under-voltage protection, output over-voltage protection, soft start, adjustable outputs, a 300 kHz switching frequency, thermal protection, and six-sided shielding. They are available in black-coated copper cases measuring 65.02 mm x 76.20 mm x 19.05 mm and weighing 223g. Single-unit prices start at $149 each with a delivery time of four to six weeks ARO.
