Eighth Bricks Deliver Full Power At 70°C

July 1, 2006
With just 200 LFM of cooling, the EMS series of eighth brick dc/dc converters are capable of delivering their full rated output at 70°C. Two single-output models provide 3.3V at 15A and 5V at 10A from an 18V to 60V input range with efficiencies

With just 200 LFM of cooling, the EMS series of eighth brick dc/dc converters are capable of delivering their full rated output at 70°C. Two single-output models provide 3.3V at 15A and 5V at 10A from an 18V to 60V input range with efficiencies exceeding 90%. Their ultra-wide 18V to 60V input range supports operation at 24V and 48V, eliminating the need for multiple host-system circuit-pack designs. Additional features include RoHS compliance, 1.5 kVdc input-to-output isolation, basic insulation, start-up into capacitive loads, remote on/off, remote output-voltage sensing, and industry-standard output trim. Additionally, the converters include an array of standard protection functions and regulatory approvals. Pricing is $36 each/1,000. POWER-ONE INC., Camarillo, CA. (866) 969-3438.
