Measuring only 1.6"H (1U) x 5"W x 10"D, the HP750 Series front-end power supplies boast of a 9.38W/in³ power density and an optional I2C interface with interrupt capability to help provide system management and monitoring capabilities. And the new supplies can operate either as a standalone unit or as part of a distributed power system in telecomm networks, medical and industrial products, etc. The six-member series has a single, isolated output of up to 750W, with output voltages ranging from 12V to 48V at 90% efficiency. Also, input can range from 85 to 264 Vac, and frequencies from 47 Hz to 63 Hz can be handled. The supplies also offer several protective features, and multiple supplies can be wired together for N+1 redundant applications, as well as to provide higher system power. The hot-swappable supplies also have a low insertion/extraction force connector and self-contained ORing diodes. Evaluation units are available in two weeks, with production quantities requiring eight weeks ARO. In volume quantities, pricing is $442 each.
