The PowerQor Tera series of industry-standard, half-brick-sized, isolated dc-to-dc converters uses synchronous rectification and a proprietary topology to achieve an efficiency of 86% for a 2.5 vdc output at 60A. The full-featured model provides active current sharing for parallel operation, temperature monitoring signals, and external clock and start-up synchronization, along with a supply voltage for driving an ORING MOSFET for hot-swapping applications. Output voltages include 1.5, 1.8, 2, 2.5, 3.3, 5, 12 or 15 vdc. Input is a nominal 48 vdc with a range of 35 to 75 vdc. The series is well-suited for use in telecomm and datacomm systems, such as optical network MUXs, backbone switches and terabit routers requiring high current at low voltage. Price is $149.79 each/1000 for full-featured units.
