In 233 mm x 108 mm x 63.5 mm housings, complete with cover and fan, the SMC500 and SMC600 power supplies provide 500W and 600W of output power, respectively. Both units provide a single output from 3.3 to 54 Vdc, adjustable by ±5%, from a universal-input range from 90 to 264 Vac. If an application requires more than 600W, one version can deliver up to 800W with a high-line, 180 to 246 Vac input or via optional OR-ing diodes that facilitate current sharing. Other common features include a minimum efficiency of 80% with a 230 Vac input for outputs above 5V and 70% minimum for 5V and 3.3V output versions, remote on/off, remote sense, over- and under-voltage protection, plus overload and over-temperature protection. Prices for the SMC500 and SMC600 are $181 and $198 each/1,000, respectively. For more details, contact Duane Darrow at XP POWER, Holliston, MA. (508) 429-9883.
