A 1.5 kVA dc-to-ac sinewave inverter that is scaleable to 30 kVA, LCE Series accepts a 48 vdc input and offers a variety of telecomm-friendly features. Units are 3U maximum height, stand-alone or rack-mount, hot bus plug-in, have a wide operating temperature range, and are true N+1 redundant. The input range lets the series work within the charge and discharge limits of battery technology, making it well suited for use in UPSs. The fully isolated and precision regulated output can power any load with a power factor from zero lead to zero lag. This ability to deliver high peak currents makes the inverters able to drive non-linear loads such as computers, computer-based systems and data storage equipment where high surges can occur. The inverters use a high frequency PWM technology to synthesize a precision regulated sinusoidal output with less than 1% total harmonic distortion. The units are capable of parallel or synchronized operation and can be user-configured to provide single- or three-phase ac outputs. In addition, N+1 redundancy is achieved with two or more inverters connected in parallel.
