In a standard 57.9 mm x 36.8 mm x 8.7 mm quarter-brick format, the Sensei series FPQN48T9R632 isolated dc/dc converter delivers a 330W output from a 36 to 55 Vdc input. Poised for intermediate bus and distributed power architectures, the component provides 32A of output current at a fixed 5:1 ratio step-down output voltage, with an efficiency in excess of 95%. Protection features include input under-voltage lockout, output over current, output over voltage, and over temperature. Built-in current sharing enables parallel operation without the need for external circuitry. Additionally, the converter meets the basic insulation requirements of EN60950 and features an input-to-output dc isolation of 1.5 kV. Price is $42 each/1,000. FDK AMERICA INC., San Jose, CA.
