Promising to simplify power-system design, the PTN78000, PTN78060, and PTN78020 series 1.5A, 3A, and 5A plug-in power modules, respectively, target applications that require input voltages from 7V to 36V. The modules are lead-free, RoHS compliant and deliver a regulated output, adjustable via an external resistor from 2.5V to 12.6V. With a 5V output, full-load power conversion efficiency is 85%. Other features include on/off inhibit control, short-circuit and over-current protection, over-temperature shutdown, and an operating temperature range from -40ºC to 85ºC.
