For power-over-Ethernet (PoE) applications, the latest addition to the LC series 48V, 1U-high switching power supplies is a model capable of delivering up to 1 kW of output power from an input voltage range of 180 Vac to 264 Vac. With an input range from 90 Vac to 264 Vac, it provides up to 800W of output power. Other features include a 48V to 51V adjustment range, 2.25 kVdc of isolation, and IEEE 802.3af, EN 61000-3-2, UL, cUL, CB, and TUV compliance. Similar to other supplies in the series, the unit includes power factor correction, a 5V isolated logic supply capable of providing 0.25A, two ball-bearing fans, plus over-current, short-circuit, over-voltage, and over-temperature protection. Standard TTL signals are provided, as well as an optional I2C interface for monitoring supply status. Price is less than $0.30/W in OEM quantities. DELTRON INC., North Wales, PA. (800) 523-2332.
