Designed for multiplexed digital telephone systems using ringing subscriber line interface circuit (SLIC) ICs, these dc-to-dc converter power modules employ a proprietary technology to achieve smaller size, lower audible noise and higher reliability. The 4-channel devices have a ≤0.5" profile and a 0.9" wide x 1.3" long footprint. They produce independently regulated dual outputs, with one of the outputs providing the ring voltage and the other delivering the talk voltage. Typical efficiencies for the outputs range from 80% to 85%. The ultra-quiet operation improves signal-to-noise ratios and enables on-hook signal transmission. The power modules are compatible with SLIC ICs from AMD, Alcatel, Ericsson, Harris, Lucent and Siemens. Versions are available to power 1, 2, 4 and 16 phone lines and are offered in 16-pin through-hole or J-lead SMT styles.
