Supporting TCP/IP, IPX and LAT protocols, MSS1 RS-232-to-Ethernet converter is designed for use with firm's IPC series of remote access power distribution and management systems. The converter supports serial performance of up to 115.2 kbps and performs the necessary data conversion of the IPC's powerful ASCII command structure so the IPC can communicate with the users' network equipment. MSS1 also can convert the IPC's RS-232 serial input to an Ethernet 10BaseT connection. Once the MSS1 is mated to the IPC, users simply connect network equipment to the IPC's NEMA 5-15R, L5-15R, 5-20R or IEC 320 (international) receptacles for remote power access. MSS1 is available with a 120V or 220V external power supply.
