Measuring just 0.65" x 0.23" x 0.30" and 0.45" x 0.24" x 0.29", the dual-output NKA Series and single-output NKE Series of 1W dc-to-dc converters are claimed to be up to 36% smaller than competing devices. They’re also said to offer better isolation (3000 vdc), as well as lower output ripple and improved temperature performance at full load--full spec performance is delivered from -40°C to 85°C without a heatsink. The 6-pin dual-output NKA converters and 4-pin single-output NKE converters are available with nominal inputs of 5V or 12V and rated output options of 5V, 9V, 12V and 15V, with the former devices offering a special power-sharing feature that allows full power to be drawn from a single pin as long as max. load doesn’t exceed 1W. The fully encapsulated devices have a MTTF rating of up to 2.9 million hours.
