At 15W/in.3, the AK40A is a high-density dc-to-dc converter optimized for embedded applications. The unit operates from either 24 or 48 vdc input to provide single output voltages of 1.5, 1.8, 2.1, 2.5, 5 or 12 vdc. The AK42 Series provides dual outputs of 1.8 and 2.5 vdc, 5 and 3.3 vdc, or 3.3 and 2.5 vdc. The duals offer both dual- and load-sharing outputs to provide a bridge for applications that are in transition from one voltage to another.Other features of both series include: input differential and common-mode filtering; hot-plug capability with inrush current limiting; input undervoltage lockout with hysteresis; output overvoltage protection; and remote shutdown. The convection-cooled units operate from -40°C to 75°C and meet EN55022, CISPR22 and FCC Class A specifications for conducted noise. All also meet safety specs.
