Designed for xDSL , access technologies, and central-office switching equipment, the POWERCHIP family of SMT isolated dc/dc converters consist of the single output PHS05 and PHS08, and the dual output PCD20. In a 1.88" x 1.17" x 0.3" footprint, the PHS05 accepts a 48V input and outputs 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V at 5A. Equal in size and input, the PHS08 outputs 1.8V at 8.5A, 2.5V at 8A, and 3.3V at 7A. Both devices specify efficiencies up to 88%. The 20W PCD20, measuring 1.88" x 1.17" x 0.4", converts a 48V input to a ±12V output at 0.8A or ±15V at 0.8A isolated.
