The SD-100 series solid-state synchro/resolver-to-dc (S/R-to-dc) converters transform three-phase synchro or two-phase resolver inputs into dc-sine and -cosine outputs at 400 conversions per second. With a peak angular error of ±2 minutes, the devices accept the output of a standard 11.8 or 90V three-wire synchro, or four-wire resolver. Two dc voltages correspond to the sine of the rotor shaft angle and the cosine, respectively. The input is transformer isolated and balanced line-to-line and synchro input quadrature is rejected. Other features include an input frequency of 40 Hz ±10%, a balanced input impedance of 40,000 ohms, and an output voltage from 0 to ±10 Vdc. Operating temperature range is from -55°C to 71°C. Pricing is less than $200 each in production quantities.
