Suitable for a variety of applications, the FSR5xxx series step-down switching regulators feature an input-voltage range from 4.5V to 18V with an output range from 1V to 5.5V. The 15 models in the series differ only in their output currents: 2A (FSR52xx), 3A (FSR53xx), and 4A (FSR54xx). They deliver power outputs from 2W to 22W and efficiencies up to 96%. Other features include over-load protection (125% full load typical), continuous short-circuit protection, remote on/off control, 300-kHz switching frequency, an optional auto-sense feature, and an operating temperature range of -40° to +85°C. Single unit prices for the 2A, 3A, and 4A models start at $13, $13.90, and $14.90, respectively. BETA DYNE INC., Bridgewater, MA. (508) 697-1993.
