Providing backup power for networking and process-control racks, the S3K2U is described as an ultra-slim, line-interactive uninterruptible power supply (UPS). The unit is available with power ratings of 1,000, 1,440 and 2,200 VA and is designed to be mounted in a standard 19" rack or in a tower configuration without requiring extra parts or space. Other features include surge protection for both telephone and network lines, an automatic voltage regulation (AVR) topology, a sine wave output, and configurable input/output. The supply exploits an advanced battery management system that includes a remote power off function and full-sequence, automatic bi-weekly battery testing.
