With a quiescent current of 12 µA and an output current of 600 mA, the 20V AS1341 dc/dc buck regulator exhibits efficiencies up to 96%. Available in an eight-pin, 3 mm x 3 mm TDFN n package, the device delivers 600 mA at 5V from a 12V input and can provide adjustable output voltages in the range of 1.25V to Vin or a fixed 5V. It operates with an input voltage from 4.5V and 20V. Additionally, an integrated 100% duty-cycle mode improves efficiency in low-dropout conditions. Other features include a settable current-limit function and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. AUSTRIAMICROSYSTEMS USA INC., Raleigh, NC. (919) 676-5292.
