The device integrates a three-stage power amplifier with on-chip input and interstage match, output power detector, and all necessary power management circuitry. Its power detector provides greater than 20 dB of dynamic range with an accuracy of ±0.8 dB. Operating over a supply-voltage range from 2.7V to 4.2V, the PA delivers a gain of 29 dB, up to +24 dBm of linear power, and +29 dBm of saturated power. Other features include an external bias control pin and an operating current to 0.5 µA. Prices start at $1.70 each/10K. A fully assembled evaluation kit (MAX2247EVKIT) is also available.
