Supposedly the smallest available, the 3.3V SC630A and 5V SC632A buck-boost charge pump regulators measure 2 mm x 2 mm x 0.6 mm and employ small, 2.2-µF capacitors.

Supposedly the smallest available, the 3.3V SC630A and 5V SC632A buck-boost charge pump regulators measure 2 mm x 2 mm x 0.6 mm and employ small, 2.2-µF capacitors. They are three-mode charge pumps (1x, 1.5x, 2x) with continuous output currents of 300 mA (SC630A) and 275 mA (SC632A). Other shared features include a shutdown current of 0.1 µA and soft-start, over-current, short-circuit, and over-temperature protection. Price for either device is $0.45 each/3,000.
