The first selection of pre-defined models in the firm’s 300V input family of second-generation, high-power-density dc-to-dc converters is now available. The modules are designed for off-line applications, especially in telecomm and mainframe systems. All operate from a 300 vdc nominal input (with input range from 180 to 375 vdc) and have power densities of up to 100W/in.3. The modules use second-generation power processing, control and packaging technologies for higher performance, lower profile and reduced parts counts. The pre-defined 300V family comprises three package sizes (Maxi, Mini and Micro), each offering output voltages of 2, 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24, 28 and 48 vdc. Output power is from 50W to 500W. All incorporate the same advanced features as other second-generation converters, such as high temperature ratings, wide output voltage trim range, and paralleling for higher power and redundancy. A line of compatible accessories is also planned.
