The MAX6505 and MAX6508 family of dual thermal comparators are claimed to be the smallest and lowest power devices in the industry. Since temperature thresholds are factory preset, they require no external components for operation. Pre-set trip temperatures are available from -40°C to +125°C in 5°C increments. Features include two logic outputs and single-supply operation from 2.5 V to 5.5 V.
The devices are available in six-pin SOT23 packages. Prices start from $0.79 each/1,000.
