Current-Limit Switches Integrate 28V MOSFET

To protect host devices against faulty chargers, the MAX14544 and MAX14545 bidirectional over-current protectors integrate a 28V MOSFET. Forward-current limit is selectable from two factory-preset thresholds of 200 mA and 400 mA while the reverse-current limit is set to 150 mA. Packaged in eight-pin, lead-free, 2 mm x 2 mm TDFNs, operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C. Prices start at $1.10 each/1,000. MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS, Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 998-8800.
